Roamer of Swtizerland offers an extended 5 year warranrty from their original 2 year warranty program. Register your warranty with Roamer of Switzerland within 90 days of purchasing your watch to receive the extended 5 year warranty. Roamer has a limited warranty that covers manufacturer's defects for two years after the original purchase date from an authorized dealer. Basically, if the watch parts or mechanics don't work properly, we will repair or replace your product for free. However, this does not cover any abuse you might put your watch through. The warranty does not cover water damage, normal wear and tear, batteries, accidental glass damage, scratches, strap damage, or theft. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims and service requests, so please keep your receipt.

At Fargo Time, we understand that receiving your purchase quickly is important to you. For our Canadian customers, shipping times typically range from 2-7 days. FRITZ MEYER (1859-1926)

The story of ROAMER, the brand of high-quality Swiss watches, begins with the ideal of its pioneering founder, Fritz Meyer (1859-1926), to create a robust yet elegant watch, a precious accessory which everyone would love to own. With this goal, he sets up his own business in Solothurn, Switzerland – a workshop with six employees producing cylinder escapements for the watch industry.

SOLOTHURN ROAMER OFFICE 1895

Within only 7 years, the company grows to 60 employees and produces complete watches. In the same year the company develops its first own calibre and names it number 38 to commemorate the 38th birthday of the company’s founder.

THE BIG CHANGE 1905

The «MST» movements developed and constructed by Meyer and Stüdeli quickly acquire an excellent reputation for their high precision and reliability in and beyond Switzerland. The manufacture continues to grow and a spacious new factory to accommodate 300 workers opens its doors. ROAMER, the name of the most successful line, is registered as a trademark in Switzerland.

SOLEURE LAUNCH IN 1907

This year heralds one of the most significant milestones for the fledgling company: Fritz Meyer enters into a partnership with Johann Stüdeli, who is trained and experienced in the art and tradition of the watchmaker’s craft. This is the start of the legendary «MST» watch.

FURTHER GROWTH 1923

The watch production soars to one million units a year and the company begins to produce its own cases to control the overall quality and to reduce its dependency on external suppliers.

Swiss Producton

In 1940, The company now employs more than 1,200 people and starts to produce its own dials. An astute case providing excellent dust and water-resistance and simplifying servicing procedures is designed, developed and patented.

Birth of The Roamer Watch Brand

In 1952, the company name is changed to that of its most successful brand, becoming ROAMER Watch Co. SA, under which the famous timepieces have been sold ever since.

Ordering was easy, delivery was fast. I have to deduct one start out of the five, because like other reviewers noted - getting hold of the store either through phone, email, or their chat was extremely frustrating, but I have to note that once I did get hold of them - they were very nice, courteous, professional, and helpful. I had no problem registering my watch on Tissot Canada's website. I'm pretty sure you can't do that if the watch isn't 100% authentic. See screenshot of the registration confirmation email below.

They certainly need to improve their availability to communications with their customers - no doubt about that, but with that being said - I'm very happy with the overall experience I had with them so far, and will likely buy more watches from them in the future.

"high tech" polymer escapement

Originally bought this for the two-tone aesthetics. It looks even better in person especially the hands and dial. It's now my favorite dive style watch. I would have given 5 stars but was not thrilled with the idea of a polymer escape wheel and pallet fork in the movement, but others have reported no issues with them so I didn't let it prevent my purchase.
